The Art of Becoming
Not therapy. Not just a pottery class.
A space to shape, break, mend, and create meaning with your hands.
Clay is immediate. It grounds you, brings you into the present, and helps you move through change when words don’t cut it. That’s the heart of art coaching: using clay as a way to process, reflect, and create meaning.
Clay is also practical. Maybe you want to try the wheel for the first time, or maybe you’re ready to improve your technique: centering, throwing taller, or tackling plates. That’s the focus of my workshops: building skill through body awareness and practice.
Whether you come for coaching or for pottery, this is a space to work with your hands and see what takes shape.

Hi, I’m Kat
My background is a mix of ceramics, coaching, psychology, and design. I’ve spent the past decade making custom dinnerware for restaurants, teaching workshops, and running a studio practice.
At the same time, I’ve been offering coaching, creating space for people to navigate transitions, explore values, and feel more human.
Now, I bring these two paths together. Whether we’re talking through a stuck pattern or working with clay to access what words can’t reach, my work meets people in that messy, honest middle—with presence, curiosity, and probably a quirky metaphor, a clay-covered “aha,” and just enough humour to keep it human.

I am grateful to live, work, love, and play on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səlilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
